Volusia County names Nick Dunnam as new resource stewardship director

Dunnam joined Volusia County’s staff in 2007 as an environmental specialist.

The Volusia County Council has tapped W. Nick Dunnam, a 25-year veteran of forestry and land management, to be the county’s new director of Resource Stewardship. 

Dunnam joined Volusia County’s staff in 2007 as an environmental specialist and has since served as a land manager, activity project manager and interim director of Resource Stewardship. As director, he will oversee land management, the UF/IFAS Extension Volusia County, Volusia ECHO, and Volusia Forever.

Previously, Dunnam spent eight years as a forest technician for Natural Resource Planning Services and Canal Forest Resources. He also has extensive program and grant management experience and was instrumental in developing the Volusia Forever transparency dashboard, which shares program accountability data with the public.
