Ormond Beach City Commissioner Susan Persis appointed to National League of Cities environmental committee

Persis was elected to a one-year term on the National League of Cities 2024 Energy, Environment and Natural Resources Federal Advocacy Committee.

Ormond Beach City Commissioner Susan Persis has been appointed to the National League of Cities 2024 Energy, Environment and Natural Resources Federal Advocacy Committee.

Persis was elected to a one-year term and will provide strategic direction and guidance for NLC’s federal advocacy agenda and policy priorities on sustainability, climate change, community resilience, water infrastructure, solid waste management and more, according to a press release. The appointment was announced by NLC President Mayor David Sander, of Rancho Cordova, California. 

Persis said in the press release that "she is proud to represent Ormond Beach and the state of Florida by working with the committee to assist with challenges and obstacles which threaten our environment and quality of life."
