Halifax Urban Ministries named Bank of America’s 2023 Neighborhood Champion in East Central Florida

HUM will receive $50,000 in grant support and virtual leadership training to advance economic mobility.

Bank of America chose Halifax Urban Ministries as the 2023 Neighborhood Champion awardee for its work advancing economic mobility and building up underserved neighborhoods in East Central Florida, a press release announced on Wednesday, Nov. 29. 

Through this multi-year grant funding and leadership training for the nonprofit’s leadership, HUM's programs and services will be able to expand and reach more individuals in need.

HUM provides emergency assistance and housing to individuals who have become homeless. Through the program, HUM will receive the opportunity to participate in virtual leadership training delivered by experts in the nonprofit sector on topics like human capital management, increasing financial sustainability and storytelling, and a $50,000 grant over two years.
