FPRA Volusia/Flagler Chapter appoints first Latina president

Johanna Santana is the chapter's first Latina to hold the position in the club's 50-year history.

The Volusia/Flagler Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association has appointed its first Latina president in the chapter's nearly 50-year history.

Johanna Santana, from Puerto Rico, is joined by Sasha Staton, from Venezuela, who is serving as president-elect, "making this leadership duo a historic first for the chapter — a testament to its commitment to fostering inclusive and visionary leadership," a press release stated. Santana, Staton and the rest of the chapter’s board were installed on Sept. 28.
