Matthew's Gift, a nonprofit organization dedicated to offering hope and support to children with medical complexities and their families, has donated $40,000 to Halifax Health and the families served in its Betty Jane France Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Matthew’s Gift will be used to create a day room for parents with babies in the NICU, a press release announced.

Matthew's Gift was founded in memory of Matthew Gable. Born prematurely at just 29 weeks, “Matthew faced a multitude of medical challenges throughout his life, including pulmonary hypertension. Despite these obstacles, he exhibited unwavering determination and an indomitable spirit, reminding us all of the incredible potential within every child,” said Matt Gable, Matthew’s father.
