Halifax Health is sponsoring the Volusia County Tax Collector’s partnership for Kids Tag Art program, a new program which integrates fundraising with practical license plate art while promoting the creativity of fifth grade art students in Volusia County.

The program starts with a classroom lesson about Florida's specialty license plates, educating students on how plate sales directly benefit specific organizations, according to a press release. Teachers then engage students in designing vanity plates that amplify causes close to the students’ interests and hearts. These student-created plates are made available for purchase by parents and the community, with all proceeds reinvested into the school’s art program through the Futures Foundation. Additionally, schools and sponsors have the opportunity to select plates for special recognition and awards.

"At Halifax Health, we understand the importance of arts and education in shaping individuals," said Jeff Feasel, president and CEO of Halifax Health. "Kids Tag Art not only empowers young artists but also fosters a sense of giving back to the community. We are pleased to be the title sponsor of this program.”
