Superintendent Moore selects Angela O'Brien to Flagler Schools’ No. 2 position

The Human Resources' director of organizational talent will take over the open position of assistant superintendent of academic services pending approval by the School Board.

Flagler Schools Superintendent LaShakia Moore has selected Angela O’Brien to be the next assistant superintendent of academic services, according to a school district press release.

The position was previously held by Moore and has been open since Moore became interim superintendent on June 30, 2023. The School Board abandoned a superintendent search in September, naming Moore to the position. She signed a four-year contract on Oct. 17.

O'Brien’s promotion to the district's No. 2 position is pending approval by the School Board at its Jan. 23 business meeting.
