Ocean Art Gallery owner and director Frank Gromling will feature South Florida artist Tom Rossetti during the Feb. 3 Ormond Beach Art Walk for an opening reception of his exhibition, "Vistas and Visions."
Rossetti, an abstract expressionist painter and art dealer, is classically trained and influenced by artists Mark Rothko, Robert Motherwell and Helen Frankenthaler, according to a press release.
Gromling discovered Rossetti’s art while presenting an Elliot Tiber Woodstock 1969 exhibit at New River Fine Art in Fort Lauderdale. Rossetti’s art on the west wall of the gallery captured Gromling and his artist wife, Bibi, from the moment they entered the gallery, the press release states. Gromling asked New River owner andpresident Lisa Burgess, with whom he serves on the Florida Council on Arts and Culture, if he could talk with Rossetti about joining Ocean Art Gallery.
